Mirror on the Wall

Mirror on the wall,

Where have you been?

I've been awaiting your call,

To tell me of the things you've seen.

I've looked forward to your presence for years,

To hear stories of witches, faeries and seers.

I still remember the time when we first met,

The first fable I heard was that of the Egyptian god Set.

Of the adventures he's had through mountains, rivers and the skies,

Not to forget; his heartbreaking, yet brilliantly told lies.

The sound of your voice calms my soul,

At the same time, making it strong like coal.

It's given me hopes and dreams,

It's made me forget my long-lost screams

Almost a decade has passed,

My memories will always last.

I've been awaiting your call,

oh, Mirror on the wall.
