Scars Can Fade

She didn't let anything stand in her way,

She didn't care what people said.

Just a small dream and hope to begin with,

She would gain a new beginning; a new life.

Away from all hatred and humiliation;

Pain felt in her soul;

Trying to fix those pieces,

Not cracked, but completely shattered;

She knew she had to start from scratch.

When the world seemed to darken up,

A ray of light; perhaps even a book could save her life.

One about hope and aspirations,

To brighten her feels, and strengthen her soul.

She felt something stir in her;

Was it strength? She never knew...

The books she read taught her that-

It was completely okay to not be perfect.

She soon realized;

No matter how much the pain,

No matter how deep it is,

Scars can fade.
